Embracing His Presence

Today is one of those days. The days I want to curl up and cry to myself and to God out of self-pity. But I can’t. I have to take a shower, do homework, eat dinner, write. Another reason I can’t do this is because it contradicts everything Jesus did on the cross. He died so that I could have life. So that we wouldn’t have to feel like a failure anymore. But out of our selfish nature, we, on our own, can’t help it. Our nature is self. Our brains tell us to feel upset and angry when things don’t go the way we want them to. They tell us to be proud of what we’ve accomplished. But when we choose to follow Christ, everything that is accomplished is done through Him.
